Choose light colors for your garage
Have you ever walked around a newly built house and looked into a garage? Recently painted white partitions and a clean hard floor. It looks gigantic, doesn’t it?
Designers love light shades. Light shades make small rooms bigger than they really are. And garages are no exception.
If possible, choose a white gloss or satin for the walls of your garage. But keep in mind that perfectly even walls are suitable for this color scheme, which can not always be found in the garage, especially if it is not only built.
But if you don’t like pure white, choose light gray, light beige, or pale blue. Of course, you have the right to choose any color for your garage, but try to make it as bright as possible.
Neutral colors (beige or gray) will be easier to maintain and clean than white.
Remember: the easier – the more it seems!
Paint the garage ceiling white
The next optical illusion we can use is painting the garage ceiling white.
The lighter the ceiling, the higher your garage will seem, and this is exactly what we need.
In addition to the apparent volume of white, especially if it is glossy, there is another huge advantage – it reflects light well. You will need much less light sources to illuminate the entire space of your garage.
The right color scheme for the garage
If you don’t like the monotonous coloring – choose one radically different color that will stand out against the general background and add a twist to your interior.
But this does not mean that one wall can be painted with a different color. Select a part and paint it.
This part can be a garage door or lockers that hang on your wall. Even the edge of a workbench painted in such a color can become that highlight, for one it will protect you from a sudden blow against it because it will throw nothing else into your eyes.
The main thing is not to overdo it!
Check that all colors are combined
Make sure that all the colors in your garage go together as one. They all must work as a whole: walls, ceiling, floor, gates, cabinet doors, and suspensions.
Do not forget about lighting. This will not only visually add space, but also greatly affect the safety of work carried out in the garage.

Use solid colors in the garage
As much as possible paint the walls in one color, meringues of transitions and partitions, especially in the horizontal plane.
Our eyes see better in front of us than on the edge. Vertical stripes will make rooms appear larger, while horizontal stripes will simply get lost. Unless you have a painting plan that fits into the structure of the floor, your eyes cannot determine where the floor closes and the divider begins, making space seem a lot smaller.
Make it easier to choose colors for your garage
Simplicity in design has always been popular. A simple design will not irritate your eye, and over time it will not go out of style.
